In the Age of Satire when people wrote plays they were being sarcastic but at the same time they were trying to be serious about society and how people acted. If someone said they were faithful to their religion then they would convince others but then turn out to be a hypocrite. Like the play Tartuffe.
Elvira, I like that you added a little bit here, but can you think of a modern example of satire to use as an example? Answer that question in a new entry or a comment for a couple more points! I will still try to get back to you about some good assignments to do or redo for more points-- hopefully tomorrow!
